TPAtlas datasets may contain limited business and professional information taken from lawful public records, company filings or licensed sources. TPAtlas uses such information to support company, royalty, finance and service-fee research—not for consumer profiling.
1. Scope
This Notice applies where an identifiable person appears in TPAtlas data because that person is connected with a company, filing, agreement or other business record used in a TPAtlas dataset.
2. Types of information
Depending on the source, the data may include a person's name, business role, company affiliation, officer/director status, professional contact details, ownership or filing-related information, and other limited information contained in the relevant business record.
3. Sources
Sources may include corporate registries, securities or regulatory filings, court or government records, company publications, publicly available agreements, and licensed business-information providers.
TPAtlas does not treat public accessibility as equivalent to unrestricted reuse. Collection, retention, display and redistribution remain subject to applicable law, source terms, contractual permissions, database rights and copyright. See Data Sources & Reliability.
4. Purpose
TPAtlas processes this information to create and maintain datasets used for transfer pricing, tax, accounting, legal, valuation and related professional research; to identify and compare businesses or transactions; and to provide source transparency and auditability.
5. Legal basis
Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, TPAtlas generally relies on legitimate interests in providing professional business information and research services, or another lawful basis applicable to the source and jurisdiction. TPAtlas seeks to balance those interests against individual privacy rights.
6. Who receives the information
Information may be made available to authorised TPAtlas subscribers and service providers supporting the database, subject to contractual, technical and legal restrictions. Subscribers are prohibited from using TPAtlas as a consumer-marketing list or for unlawful profiling.
7. Sensitive data
TPAtlas does not intentionally collect special-category or highly sensitive personal information for database purposes unless it is lawfully available and genuinely necessary for a specific professional dataset.
8. Accuracy and source correction
TPAtlas aims to reflect the source accurately, but public and third-party records may be incomplete, delayed or incorrect. A correction to TPAtlas does not amend the original source. Where appropriate, individuals should also contact the relevant registry, issuer or source provider.
9. Retention
Public-source information is retained only while it remains relevant to the dataset, permitted by applicable law and source terms, and reasonably required for historical research or auditability.
10. Rights and requests
Depending on applicable law, an individual may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection. Requests can be made through the Contact page. TPAtlas may need to verify identity and assess legal or research grounds for retaining the information.
11. No consumer use
TPAtlas is intended for professional business research. It is not designed for consumer credit, employment, insurance, housing or other eligibility decisions about individuals.
